About Folio
One place to understand your portfolio.
Track what you own, understand the difference between realized and unrealized returns, and prepare orders at prices you choose.
What is Folio?
Folio is a portfolio workspace at folio.knoxed.com. It brings broker holdings, clearly labelled returns, order history, and buy or sell order plans together.
Which broker connections are available?
Alpaca supports Live and Paper connections. The eToro connector reads portfolio data and instrument quotes using your Public API Key and read-only User Key.
What are staggered orders?
A ladder divides your chosen number of shares across several limit prices. The public demo shows six buy levels and six sell levels using fictional examples, including an unrealized loss scenario.
Does a price alert place an order?
No. A price alert is a notification. The background monitor checks US stock quotes every five minutes, ignores stale quotes, and records a one-time notification in Folio. Orders require a separate action.
How fresh is the data?
The portfolio shows its last successful refresh time. Enabled Alpaca connections can refresh on a 30-minute schedule. Quotes have their own broker timestamps; an old or closed-market quote must not be treated as live.
Is my portfolio public?
Portfolio pages require sign-in. Broker requests resolve the signed-in user’s saved credentials, and database ownership rules restrict access. Public demo prices and scenarios are examples, not customer account data.
